THE LIFESTYLE

It's More Than A Boat

Coconuts is nestled in the safest part of Key West Harbor Marina and club on Stock Island, (2 miles over a short bridge to Key West Proper) and by many, considered Key West’s up & coming charming little stepsister....

An incredible spot for vacations away from the city and cold weather, ample space for entertaining guests- getting away for peace and tranquility or an excellent home for retirement or a small family or couple who work locally or independently.

The Keys provide a vibrant art scene, festivals and entertainment galore!

There is sport fishing everywhere, diving and snorkeling on the only

living coral reef in the continental US.

Swimming, sunning, kayaking, boating, golfing, tennis and the most reliable form of transport around here is on two wheels!

There’s terrific restaurants nearby the Marina: Hogfish tiki bar & grille, Roostica wood fired pizza & bar, The Dolphin Diner & a French Patisserie, The Marinas own restaurant, Taco Grilla, La Cantina Mexican, Hurricane Hole, to name a few.

Shopping a plenty within a Mile + of the marina for groceries, fresh fish, home goods, and all your needs. In Key West downtown of course, there is much more of the above.

Neighbors are communal and friendly, there’s a group use Tiki Bar and gas grills, fish cleaning stations, holiday celebrations and relaxed festive weekend activities often. Though neighbors also are relatively close is proximity, so a certain modicum of sensitivity is required to keep the peace. There are also transient or visiting boaters who gunk hole in for shorter stays, boats are frequently going in and out on expeditions.

It Takes Care

Some Strength Required

There are many reasons to live aboard, though it is NOT for everyone. Think of it as an alternative style of condo ownership, where the monthly slip fees are your condo fees. This provides you with the amenities like laundry facilities, well kept grounds, trash removal, common area upkeep, and a safe harbor with dockage and assistance when needed.

The drawbacks of owning and living aboard a boat as opposed to a condominium or stand alone home, are that boats tend to require more exterior regular maintenance and care due to salt water and weather. If you are a tinkerer and fixer-upper type, then you will enjoy puttering around doing constant tasks, the good news? NEVER ANY LAWN MOWING!

There are stairs and plenty of them. This is NOT a craft for anyone with physical challenges, but easy for all others to navigate.
